Something Fresh

Compilation CD and Cookbooklet
Great Lakes, Great Food, Great Music!!!

We are all honored to meet at this most natural of crossroads, for what is better than picking your teeth to the sounds of smooth fingerpickin’? Something Fresh artists were given recipes featuring fresh food grown in Michigan and the 15 original songs and accompanying recipes are a testament to the fertility of the soils. Through this project we are working to raise awareness about community supported agriculture (CSA’s), farmers markets, soil microbiology, small-scale independent businesses, adding value to local commodities, eating with the seasons, and our favorite musician friends - but mostly we did it because it sounded like fun.

This compilation CD and cookbooklet is a tribute to the fresh folk and the fresh food found in our Great Lakes region. Music and food are both best when fresh and local.
