Class Description: New! This class will underscore that much of what we throw in our trash cans is not necessarily waste – items can keep their value by being reused, recycled, or composted instead! You will be given the tools to reduce what goes in your trash and discuss how reducing, reusing and recycling can save natural resources and decrease carbon emissions. Not only will you get an overview of how waste is handled in the northwest Michigan area, you will also build your confidence of which item goes in which bin with hands-on activities.
