Come learn about the different composting systems at the SEEDS Compost Petting Zoo, where we have eight different composting technologies on display. You can meet our red wiggler worms!

Oryana Community Co-op is generously providing coffee and scones. This is a family-friendly event! There will be a StoryWalk for children and the Traverse Area District Library is bringing the Bookmobile stocked full of compost-related books.

The SEEDS Farm is located at Historic Barns Park. You can find it down the hill from the Cathedral Barn, directly across from the solar panels on the bike trail.

This event is part of the Michigan Organics Council’s Great Michigan Compost Tour. Composters across the state are hosting tours so that you can learn more about how your yard waste and food waste are transformed into valuable soil amendments. The other tours in our Northern Michigan region are featured in this event series.
