EcoCorps crew members provided services to the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, primarily at the Refuge’s Green Point location in the city of Saginaw. Over the course of seven weeks, projects implemented at the Refuge included maintaining built structures by updating paint, building brochure boxes for public display, building benches. EcoCorps crew members improved the natural features of the Refuge through litter pick up and trash removal, invasive species removal, landscaping, and trail maintenance. Activities also included improving public access and safety on the property such as installing boundary signage and clearing trail obstacles.
