Details
The EcoCorps crew dealt with storm and windfall damage to the Good Harbor Hiking Trail as well as the Pyramid Point Trail. Due to the wilderness designation, all cutting was to be done by hand to preserve the setting and reduce unwanted noise pollution in the wilderness area of the parks. Crew hand cut through windfalls and disposed of the wood off-trail in order to make the trail passable for hikers. Crew also did scouting for the park service by traversing the Pyramid Point Trail loop and tallying the trees that caused obstruction to the trail. Spirits were high despite cold and rainy weather and the clearing was completed ahead of schedule.
