We’re Celebrating 25 Years of SEEDS!

A note from our Co-Founder, Pete Muñoz:

SEEDS was created as a clearinghouse of optimism and regenerative spirit. We wanted a place where anyone with an idea to help their community could foster and grow it into existence.

As an acronym, SEEDS stood for Seeking Ecological Education and Design Solutions. We were transparent that we needed to seek solutions and develop a path of learning to create impactful programs and services.

Education has always been in SEEDS DNA; and learning from nature and cultivating nature-based solutions were our foundation.

Pete Muñoz, Co-Founder

Even on the design side early activities included hands-on workshops, like when we built a pond restoration system or constructed a wetland. We understood that small thoughtful incremental actions are how communities become more resilient and regenerative.

I’m unbelievably proud that after 25 years, SEEDS has employed over 850 people trying to make a difference in their community. We embraced the wisdom of our elders, we’re not shy about pushing the limits of convention, and we have fun.

Have an idea? Come talk to us.
