Ready to thrive in high school

There’s a lot of working together at SEEDS. At first, I didn’t really know what to do while working on a team. Now I can really help, like when I’m in school and doing team projects. I think it will help me succeed in high school.

Izy, High Schooler

After three years attending SEEDS EcoSchool, Izy is heading into high school feeling more prepared and ready to work with others.

She says one of her favorite things about SEEDS is how much collaboration is built into the program. “We never really do anything on our own. I think being able to work with other people constructively is going to be very important for me.”

Additionally, Izy shared that learning at SEEDS was fun, especially when it came to science. “I’ve learned so many more things about the area we’re in and how the ecosystem works here. We’ve studied things like fish and the water, and how to figure out if it’s clean or dirty. A lot of science-y stuff, but it’s always put into a fun way so we can understand it better.”

Izy’s experience is a powerful example of how SEEDS supports students during a critical time in their development. Through teamwork, hands-on learning, and a fun approach to science and environmental education, SEEDS helps young people gain confidence and important life skills. For Izy, it’s made the transition to high school feel less overwhelming and more exciting. Our programs at SEEDS don’t just fill the time, they help shape who youth become.
