Get Me Outside!

Above: Kindergartener DJ and 3rd Grader Noah hit the trails on snowshoes at Fife Lake Elementary SEEDS After School.

So many screens and so much inactive sitting! What to do on a wintry day? At Fife Lake Elementary, students strapped on snowshoes and went on a hike. They took to snowshoes like naturals.

“The kids really loved being able to explore the outdoors in a new way!” – Hannah Bird, Fife Lake Elementary Site Coordinator

SEEDS After School takes learning outside year-round. During the current school closures, our staff have distributed activities and lessons directly to families that help parents and kids get outdoors and exploring the natural world.

Great activity ideas are shared every day on SEEDS Facebook and Instagram. Your own yard is a classroom and enrollment is free!

About SEEDS After School: SEEDS After School educators specialize in providing safe, socially and emotionally rich learning environments. We supply thousands of engaging student contact hours each year. Our favorite things to do are hands-on STEM activities and coupling these lessons with art. Healthy cooking, going green, being outside, and other life skills are all great subjects for STEM learning and art. Learn more about SEEDS After School here.
